Osteopathic medicine is a complete system of medical care. The philosophy is to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. It emphasizes the interrelationships of structure and function, and the appreciation of the body's ability to heal itself. For more information about osteopathy and its regulating body, please visit the General Osteopathic Council website. There are four osteopaths working at the Deoora Clinic: Tajinder Kaur Deoora MSc, DO(Hons), Dip Phyt Tajinder has been in general osteopathic practice since 1983. Although she uses the traditional methods of manipulation, Tajinder specialises in osteopathy in the cranial field. She has extensive experience of treating babies and children, having worked at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London, for over 10 years. Tajinder is an international lecturer. She is currently the head of clinical studies at the Osteopathie-Schule Deutschland in Hamburg and a faculty member of the Sutherland Cranial College. She is also the author of the patient oriented book 'Healing through Cranial Osteopathy' and co-author of 'Fundamental Osteopathic Techniques'.
